Leap Off the Ledge

leap off the ledge

Do you ever get the feeling it’s time for a change? That something more or greater or different is ready to develop in your life?

It may be time to step to the ledge and prepare to leap into a new phase. To begin, you must identify where in your life you want this new phase to take you.

Do you know in what area of your life you’d like to create a new future? Is it related to a relationship or your lifestyle? Maybe it has to do with your health, or your desire to build your business?

Let’s say you want to invest more time and effort into your business, and yet, you just can’t figure out how to move forward.

Ask yourself: Are you consistent with your efforts? Are you following your company’s system? Are you working with your upline team? Do you believe that you can move forward faster? If not, why not?

There are so many ways we avoid stepping to the ledge. And without stepping to the ledge, my friend, you will never jump into the life you imagine.

In June of 2015 I felt it was time to leap into a new phase in my life. I found the courage to sell my home and literally ‘move’ into a new life.

Yes, it took time and courage to accept the fact that now was the moment to make my move. I admit, I was emotionally attached to my home and the eleven years of memories and experiences.

Yet with the support of family and friends—and a lot of journaling and vision work—I stepped to the ledge. Was I scared? You bet! What inspired me to finally leap off the ledge? My vision became bigger than my fear!

I created and embraced the undeniable benefits of leaping off the ledge. In other words, I became so excited and inspired by the vision I had created for my new life, I became unstoppable. Nothing could have kept me from leaping! Or in this case, listing my home.

I told my Realtors that my requirements were simple: I wanted new construction in a high rise. I wanted to be 15 minutes from the airport. I wanted to see trees and hear birds. Hah! Did they ever laugh, since I was looking in downtown San Diego.

And yet, my reality beautifully imitated my vision work. My home sold immediately and I was able to purchase the home of my dreams.

A note about vision work: Really focus on the details.

My journaling was so weighted with pace that things moved almost faster than I could keep up with. My home sold in three weeks. The buyer gave me four weeks to move out. Construction on my new home had just begun, and the building was slated for completion in fall of 2017.

In just ten weeks from solidifying my vision work, I had sold my home, purchased a new home and was moved into a rental awaiting construction completion.

And guess what? What about my view? I am one block from Balboa Park. Yes, from every window I see trees and hear birds.

As I write this, I’ve been in my new home for just two weeks. As I walk around I am spontaneously moved to tears or joyful laughter. My overriding emotion is gratitude. Gratitude to behold a vision come to life.

You can do the same thing with your Direct Selling business or in any area of your life. Figure out where you want to make a shift.
